Irish Dairy Tasting and Promotion Event
On January 29th, Bord Bia, Guangdong Imported Food Association (IFA) and FOOD2CHINA (F2C) co-organized the Irish Dairy Tasting and Promotion Event in Guangzhou Shamian architecture complex- Shenchang café.
As Ireland's third largest dairy export market, China accounts for 14% of its total dairy exports. Dairy exports from Ireland to China reached 562 million euros in 2019, with rapid growth in cheese, butter, casein, and whole milk powder. Up to now, there are a total of 13 dairy manufacturers in Ireland that have permitted to enter into the Chinese market.
It is worth mentioning that the main ingredients for this event were all provided by the certified members of the Origin Green project of Ireland and specially prepared by a five-star chef and barista. They presented a variety of Irish dairy products to all the visitors with their creativity.
IFA&F2C invited dairy industry professional importers and distributors, catering enterprises representatives and food industry media to the event so that they could taste Ireland's natural flavored dessert. There were some professional buyers who are interested to discuss further details with the Irish brands.
