Director of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative Administration and His Party Visited IFA

On September 4, 2019, deputy director Sun Xiyong, vice minister Lu Zhiping, and representatives of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative Administration visited IFA and were warmly received by IFA president. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on how to promote the development of imported food industry in western China and put forward their own opinions.

Under the background of western development, Chongqing Municipality has accelerated the construction of a new channel for international land and sea trade, and vigorously promoted the development of the imported food industry, especially strengthened the project of importing seafood and fresh fruits from Southeast Asia, Sun said. And they hoped that they will be able to further strengthen the development of imported food in the western region through cooperation with IFA. President Qi then briefed representatives of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative Administration on relevant informations about Guangdong Imported Food Association, and proposed some suggestions on expanding the distribution network of imported food in western China. With the construction of new international land and sea trade routes, he said, it has become more and more convenient to import food from different countries. At the same time, it is also a very good channel to promote economic development in western China.

In the future, IFA will strengthen cooperation with China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative Administration to jointly promote the development of imported food industry in the western region.
