Leaders from Guangdong Committee of CCPIT and Representatives of CCIC GD Visited IFA

On August 12, leaders from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee together with representatives of China Certification & Inspection Group Guangdong Co., Ltd. paid a visit to IFA and was warmly received by IFA President Qi. The three parties had an in-depth discussion on strengthening cooperation in imported food safety and put forward their own views.

On behalf of IFA, President Qi welcomed the visit of leaders from Guangdong Committee of CCPIT and representatives of CCIC GD and introduced the development status of IFA as well as the current situation and development trend of the imported food industry in Guangdong Province, and shared cases of the relevant activities of IFA. Qi said that at present, as people’s living standards gradually improve, more and more people will choose to buy imported food, however, they know little about the purchasing channels and ways of imported food. Thus, it is of great importance to strengthen the safety of imported food.

Subsequently, the leadership of CCPIT and representatives of CCIC GD respectively put forward their own opinions on how to strengthen the safety of imported food, and affirmed the important role of IFA in promoting the development of the industry, hoping that IFA will be able to fulfil the function of supervision.

In the future, the three parties will work together to give full play to their respective advantages and conduct in-depth cooperation on how to strengthen the safety of imported food.
